Our deepest sympathy to Jim and the entire McCarthy family. I have very fond memories of Alice and Jim spending time with my parents in Marco Island! Alice and my parents are now together in heaven playing cards as they did every night in Marco and watching us from above. Heaven sure has a great group of people that will surely be missed!

My sincere condolences to such a loving, warm family at the loss of my dear neighbor, Alice. I so enjoyed chatting with her and Jim about the birds, her children, my dachshunds, gardening, our changing neighborhood and trees over the past nearly 40years whenever they were out on their walks. My sincere and deep condolences for your loss. We all know that if you have been on a lacrosse field, for or against, one of her daughters, she has a huge heart. There is a hug, warm smile, easy laughter, and sincere interest in anything going on with you. She was gracious and accepting. I think of her as the epitome of a “mom”. Nothing surprised her. She loved unconditionally. I’m sure she perfected that as a great grandmother. I am so, so sorry that I can’t be at her service. Her daughter is one of my favorite people, and I know that Alice had a LOT to do with making her so unique and special. Let the celebration of her amazing life begin. Love, Jill
