Kurt Rogers

Kurt M. Rogers, of Marlton, passed away on June 30, 2021. Cherished son of Diane Rogers (nee’ Kuppertz) and the late James Rogers. Beloved father of Thomas and Sarah Rogers (their mother Terry Rogers). Dear brother of Kimberly Rogers (John) and Cheryl Christie (Bill). Kurt was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 22, 1968. Fortunately, for him, in 1971, his parents moved to a wonderful place called Medford Lakes, NJ. According to Kurt, the BEST place to grow up!! He attended Nokomis and Neeta Schools, graduating from Shawnee High School in 1987. During this time, he forged lifelong friendships and created invaluable memories. Attesting to his love of travel and adventure, Kurt continued his education in places like Hawaii and Colorado. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Thomas Edison State University and his Master’s degree in Individual and Group Counseling from Adams State University. In addition, he attained numerous licenses and certifications necessary to pursue his career options; notably, his successful completion of the program at Arrhythmia Technologies Institute (ATI), an achievement of which he was particularly proud. Kurt was also very proud of his work ethic and excelled in each and every position he held. However, what was more important to him, were the bonds he had with his co-workers. Basically, they weren’t co-workers…they were FRIENDS. From the Masonic Home in Burlington to PHH, Commerce/TD Bank, AmNet, and Medtronic…Kurt loved the people he worked with. Kurt found his “dream job” as a Principal Clinical Specialist at Medtronic. The position utilized all of his strengths and attributes. It presented new challenges everyday…never a dull moment…Kurt loved it. Kurt was definitely not “all work and no play”. He had a “unique” sense of humor and loved to play pranks. He loved the Eagles (Go Birds!), his fantasy football league, fishing, the glory days of softball in Medford Lakes and, in his words, “when I really feel like making a fool of myself…snowboarding”. All of that being said, Kurt’s TRUE LOVE, PASSION, PRIDE AND JOY was and ALWAYS will be his children…TOMMY AND SARAH ROGERS. They are, without a doubt, his greatest accomplishment. Kurt and Tommy have shared a wide variety of interests….everything from snowboarding to the occasional metal detecting excursion…anything outdoors. They both love sports (football in particular). Kurt was always so proud to see Tommy play. He loved teaching, learning and experiencing new adventures with Tommy. Kurt always cherished “Daddy Daughter” time with Sarah whether it was in person or one of their long conversations. He LOVED those talks and mentioned them often. Like all fathers, Sarah will always be his little girl…but, she was also a confidant and friend. In recent years, Kurt and his mother, Diane, had the opportunity to strengthen the unparalleled bond that exists between mother and son. They enjoyed movie and game nights, watching Wheel of Fortune was a must and, in general, sharing time together. According to Kurt, she was his rock and BEST FRIEND! While everyone is thankful that Kurt was part of their lives, Kurt is the one who was truly blessed with all the AMAZING people he had in HIS. On his behalf, THANK YOU!
