John J. Campoli Jr.

John J. Campoli, Jr. passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2022, at the age of 91. He was born in Philadelphia PA to the late John and Mary Campoli. John was the beloved husband of the late Lillian E. (nee Bethel); loving father of Deborah Wilson, Carol McGovern (Daniel), and Susan Rowbottom (Thomas); cherished Pop Pop of Jennifer Berry (William), Joshua Rowbottom (Jill), Jessica Newman (Randy), and Ryan Rowbottom (Ashley); Pop Pop to great grandchildren Jack, Taylor, Owen, Chloe and Rory. He was the oldest of four brothers, the late Robert Campoli (Mary Patricia dec.), the late Joseph Campoli (Rose), and Ronald Campoli (Patricia dec.). John is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. John was a quiet man who was always ready to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He was a mechanic spending his career working with his father and brothers at Campoli Truck Sales and Service. After his father passed away, John and his brother Bob took over the family business until they retired in 1998. John was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He spent his life taking care of and helping his family. He spent countless hours on the ‘handyman specials’ that all three girls purchased when they married. There was nothing that he couldn’t figure out a way to build or fix. You could always hear the grandkids say, ‘Pop Pop will fix it”! His kindness and generosity was felt by everyone he knew. He met Lil when he was 16, they fell in love and married in 1950. We had many family traditions. One special tradition that was started by his parents many years ago was Thursday spaghetti nights with the family. John and Lil continued these dinners on Thursday for many years with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were happily married for 58 years. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street, on Friday, October 14th, from 9 am to 11 am. His service will begin at 11 am, followed by entombment in Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum, Cinnaminson, NJ.
