John J. Cobb

John James Cobb passed away suddenly on Feb. 14, 2018 at Abington Hospital in Pennsylvania. He was 49. Born in Queens, NY to Gerard F. Cobb and Dolores Gagliardi, he lived in New Hyde Park, NY, Philadelphia, PA and Plymouth Meeting, PA before moving to Medford, NJ in 2004. John was a 1991 graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia where he was a member of the Kappa Delta Rho Xi Alpha Chapter. He met his wife, the former Jillese Ferraro, while working for the GAP. They married on May 4, 1996 and had three beautiful children. John worked as an AVP of Sales for Equity One in Marlton before making a career change and joining the commercial construction company D’Lauro and Rodgers of Ft. Washington, PA where he worked since 2004. John was passionate about construction and being a Project Manager was an excellent match for his organizational and leadership skills. John loved living in Medford and enjoyed coaching his children in various sports and sharing his cooking talents with family and friends. John was a very active and respected member of the Medford community particularly with MYAA Baseball, Buddy Ball for Shawnee High School and the Medford Renegades travel program where he proudly served as commissioner for 4 years. His family and friends will remember him as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a hard-working and loyal man whose main concern was to provide for his family. John is predeceased by his parents, and his father-in-law Richard Ferraro. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years Jillese Ferraro Cobb, two sons, Jack and Andrew Cobb, and one daughter Emma. Cherished brother Gerard F. Cobb, sister-in-law Tricia Fitzgerald Cobb, nephews Alexander and Benjamin. John is also survived by his mother-in-law Ruth Baehrle, his brother in law A.J. Ferraro and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19 from 5-8 pm at the Givnish Funeral Home of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11am at St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford. Interment Parkview Cemetery at Kirby’s Mill, Medford.
