Barbara Bookbinder (nee Bratspis), of Washington Township, NJ, passed away on March 11, 2022. She was born to the late Gerald and Edith (Neff) Bratspis in Philadelphia PA. She was 81 years old. Barbara was the beloved mother of Debra Lewkowitz (Leonard), Stacey Williams (David) and Karin Otto (Chris). She was the grandmother of Adam and Alyse Lewkowitz, Jessica Williams and, Grace and Emma Otto. She was the great grandmother of Ava Bordingham. She was the beloved sister of Phillip and Ned Bratspis. Barbara lived most of her life in her beloved city of Philadelphia and she adored her high-rise apartment. She loved to walk through the city, admiring the shop windows and sitting in Rittenhouse square. Barbara had a successful career as the fashion and food director of the Jewish Exponent and Inside Magazine. She was known as someone with a great deal of style and she loved beautiful things, which she collected and arranged. Barbara loved her dear friends. Her greatest love was always her children and grandchildren. Barbara will be remembered for her caring and her beauty. She will be known as someone who made everyone feel special, no matter who they were. She will be missed and loved always. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Saturday March 19th, from 11 am to 12 pm. Remembrances will be shared at 12 pm.
