Edward Richard Dudzic Jr., 67, known as “Rick”, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Philadelphia to Edward R. Dudzic Sr. and Dorothy (“Dolly”) (Nowicki), beloved husband of more than 39 years to Monica (nee Farinella). Loving father of Tommy (Sarah) and Timmy. Cherished Pop Pop to Sammy and Lucy. Brother to Donna Jackson (Gary) and Bruce Dudzic (Sue). Brother-in-law to Annamarie Farrell. Uncle Ricky to Lindsay Luceri (Anthony), Ryan Jackson, Danielle and Brad Dudzic. Uncle Dude to Pat (Laurie) and Matt Farrell. Great Uncle to Nicholas and Sophia Luceri and Sofia and Thomas Farrell. Rick was a dedicated Letter Carrier for Keystone Branch 157/Tacony Post Office for 38 years. Rick loved vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland, spending time with decades old friends and having his 2 beer lunches on the deck. A proud graduate of Father Judge High School, 1971, Rick was an avid sports fan and loved any team with a nice logo. Rick was also a member of the Quaker City String Band since 2015, where he played a key role in prop and scenery movements, helping the band claim three first prizes. He enjoyed golf trips with post office friends to Myrtle Beach, SC and Ocean City, MD, trips to Penn State football games and a good Bloody Mary. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday evening at the Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson from 6pm to 8pm, and the following morning at 10am to 10:45am at Sacred Heart Church, Riverton NJ. His funeral mass will follow at 11. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider donations to the Quaker City String Band, 1943 S. 3rd St. Phila, PA. 19148. Interment will be private.
