    September 30, 1949 - November 27, 2021

Joan P. Lynch (nee Owens) passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 27, 2021. Born in Philadelphia to the late James F. and Catherine G. Owens (nee Hennessy), Joan was 72 years old. Family was everything to her. Beloved wife of 50 years to Thomas J. Lynch, Jr.; loving mother of Thomas J., III (Amy), Matthew (Amy) and Tracy (Chris) Rodgers; and cherished grandmother of Tessa, Luke, Quinn, Matthew, Analee, Sadie, and Welles. Joan was predeceased by her siblings James F. Owens, and Kathleen Owens. She was also survived by in-laws Gail Owens, Harry and Betsy Hession, James and Kathy Lynch, Paul and Regina Lynch, Robert and Monica Lynch, Robert and Meg Verrelle and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Joan spent her childhood in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia where she attended St. Matthew’s Catholic School and St. Hubert High School. After getting married to her high school sweet heart, Joan and Tom moved to Cinnaminson, where they raised their family and lived for the past 47 years. Joan was active in the community as the President of the Home and School Association and coached various youth sports. She spent 25 years as the manager of Whistlers Inn in Cinnaminson where she was a fixture in the community. Her favorite place was her home in Surf City, New Jersey, where she made many memories. She loved her faith, family and friends. Throughout the years, she developed deep and lasting relationships through her love, loyalty, kindness and humor. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at The Church of the Sacred Heart, 103 4th Street Riverton. Her Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Church of the Sacred Heart (shcriverton.org), Father Judge High School (fatherjudge.com) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org.)
