Robert Q. Bishop

Robert Q. Bishop passed away peacefully at his residence in Cinnaminson on Friday, February 18, 2022. Born on June 3, 1929 at the Zurbrugg Mansion in Riverside, Bob was the son of Joseph and Lillian Bishop. He was the husband of the late Helen and Bette Jeane. Bob grew up in Riverside, graduated from Riverside High School in 1947 and Pennington Prep in 1948. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1949 and served during the Korean War hunting submarines from an oaircraft carrier. Bob was hired by the then newly built RCA facility Moorestown and labored there for 37 years. While working at RCA, he attended LaSalle University in the evenings and completed his degree in Business Administration. After his retirement from RCA/GE Bob settled in Cinnaminson and enjoyed many years of golfing and gardening. He is survived by his three daughters; Beth Burke (Patrick), Barbara Keen (Richard) and Laura McAlack (John), his sister Bettyann, eight grandchildren Adam, Shannon (Keith), Jessica (Neil), Stevie, John Robert (Emily), Courtney, Chelsea, Allison and 8 great grandchildren. Bob had been a member of Epworth Methodist Church in Palmyra, a member of the Cinnaminson Baptist Church and currently was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Maple Shade. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Bob’s Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
