Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Charles and Anna (Peining) Bauer, he was 79 years old. Bill was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, living there until he retired from the Army Corp and settled in Myrtle Beach, SC. Bill was the beloved husband of Philomena (Quicquaro) Bauer for 52 years; loving brother of Charles “Junior” (Linda) and Sara DiRosa (Nick), and brother-in-law of Carmella Buonanno (the late Joseph); cherished Uncle of Jeanette Huntington (Jim), Michelle Buonanno, Joseph Buonanno (Traci), Angela Inzerillo (Tony), Julianne Bauer, Christopher Bauer (Amy), Bethann Minner, and Doug DiRosa. Uncle Bill is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews. Bill was very proud to serve and work for the military, having proudly served in Air Force as a fireman. He worked as a surveyor with the Army Corp of Engineers and FEMA until he retired in 1999. Bill received countless awards with the Army Corp and FEMA, and traveled across the globe during this career, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Africa. Bill loved kids and nieces and nephews were like his own. He was known to be a jokester and funny; he was always a good time to be around. ******* Please note... Due to the sudden passing of Bill's wife, Phyll, on April 16th, they will be having a joint gathering for them both on Friday evening, April 22, 7 to 9 pm, and Saturday morning, April 23, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass, which will also honor both Phyll and Bill, will begin at 11 am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 4th St. and Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ.
