March 21, 1942 - February 21, 2021
William (Bill) Foley, 78, of Cinnaminson, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 21st. He is survived by his devoted wife Barbara, his loving daughters Maureen Gottlieb (Howard), DeAnna Fabricius-Holland, Lauren Foley (Dennis), Taryn Gillison (Ed), and stepchildren Rebecca Delorey, and Ian Delorey (Kristina) and his grandchildren, all of which he adored, Sean (Laura), Kelsey, Julianna, Robert, Austin, Allie, Alex, Rebecca, Liam, Jeremy, Elias, Bruce and Maggie, his cherished sister Catherine Mulholland (Kenneth), nephew Stephen Mulholland (Tamara), cousin Eddie Taylor (Mary) and many extended family members. We will all miss his optimism, spirit and love for life, family and a good time. Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA in Port Richmond and remained close with his childhood friends until his death. After graduating from North Catholic High School, he went on to attend LaSalle University. After graduation, Bill enjoyed a successful career as a sales representative at W.W. Grainger until his retirement in 2004. Bill was an active officer and member of the Maple Shade 25 Club, where he continued to enjoy attending holiday events with his grandchildren, hanging out with the guys, and shooting pool. Bill’s friends were friends for life. Bill was surrounded by women, notably his daughters, his entire life, up until his last days. Nothing brought him more joy than to be surrounded by his wife, Barb, his daughters, and the whole raucous family. His best moments were spent with his entire family around him. He loved traveling, taking family cruises as well as the simple things like sitting on the front porch, while talking to the neighbors. He loved attending the Thanksgiving and Mummers parades with his family, regardless of the weather. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. As stubborn as the day is long, Bill overcame a multitude of medical challenges throughout his life. His recoveries often defied doctor’s prognoses, common sense, and his own expectations. Bill taught his family the value of a dollar, often asking when his daughters left a light on in the house, “what, do you have stock in the electric company”. He was exceedingly proud of the accomplishments of each of his children and grandchildren and thrived on their successes. His wish since their childhood was for their happiness. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or Palmyra-Cinnaminson-Riverton EMS, 125 W Broad Street, Palmyra, NJ 08065.
