    William J. Kline Sr.

    October 5, 1927 - January 25, 2022

    William J. Kline, Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Born in Philadelphia to William and Lillian Kline, Bill was 94 years old. He was a longtime resident of Maple Shade. Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Mary M. (nee DeVincentis) Kline. Loving father to William J. (Susan) Kline, Jr., Susan McCoog, and Marybeth (Matthew) Davis. Cherished grandfather to W. James Kline III, Thomas J. McCoog, Jr., Jeffrey W. (Sandra) McCoog, Matthew D. (Chrissy) McCoog, Ashley S. (Michael) Wagner, Gregory M. (Lea) Davis, Lauren E. Davis and Allison M. Davis. Great grandfather of Ryan McCoog, Kayleigh McCoog, Logan McCoog, Liam McCoog, Jack Wagner and Evelynn McCoog. Brother of the late Lois DeBoer. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII, including service on the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. He retired as a purchasing agent for Consarc Corporation in Rancocas. He also was employed as a purchasing agent for RCA and a maintenance foreman for US Rubber/Uniroyal in Philadelphia and South Carolina. Bill was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, he was an avid fisherman, enjoyed bowling, gardening and traveling to the casino. Most importantly Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 1st, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main Street. His Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Face masks are required. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or please visit www.stjude.org.
