Lauren Gutierrez passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Philadelphia to her father, the late Frank Ratkis, and mother, Lee Ratkis, Lauren was 39 years old. She was a resident of Mt. Read Obituary
I unfortunately never had the honor of having Mrs. Guiterrez (nee Ratkis) as a teacher, but she was always a joy to see in the halls, smiling and greeting everyone she met. From what I recall hearing from my peers, she brought genuine dedication and engagement to the classroom.

I did not know Laren but I do know her mother, Lee, who I went to high school with. Lauren sounds like an awesome, vibrante young lady, from what I have read on here. Lee, I am so sorry to hear about your lose, it is never easy losing your child, no matter what age they are. Cherish all the memories you have of her, and keep them close to your heart, this will get you through these hard times. My heart goes out to you, her husband and your whole family. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
How could you not love Lauren?
Our most fondest memory of her (and there are many) is how she always made the special effort to spend time with her parents' friends, as we gathered in their home, and even after she moved into a home of her own. She really took an interest in us and was always excited to see us. A very special and beautiful soul, who we will miss profoundly.
Our prayers continue for Lee, Juan, Chris, Kathryn, Owen, and even Linus, who is undoubtedly missing his "mom" as well.
