Yolanda was an amazing woman, only knowing her for a short amount of time we became good friends, i was the dining room supervisor at spring hills assisted living where she was living and i always made sure to take care of her dietary needs and anything she needed help with. She was a lovely woman and had amazing family and friends visit her all the time. She was well loved and will be deeply missed. I am so sorry to the family for their loss.
Aunt Yo was always so welcoming to my husband, Don, and myself. Don loved being with Claire and Jack Heffernan and of course his long-time buddy, Ed, and sweet Nancy. We would see Aunt Yo and Uncle Buck at all the family gatherings & events on Washington St. Aunt Yo was such good company...always so generous with her sewing skills and meals and stories! Uncle Buck would just make you laugh. And there were always pots and pots of coffee...and beer! I remember attending a barbecue at Eddie Butch's house with Don while we were dating and met the most darling tow head named Tracie who years later would be our dedicated, excellent school union President. Aunt Yo was happy being with her family...devoted, dedicated, loyal and loving to them all -especially her joys, Wandy, Lynnie and the grands. Your mom will be missed .May all your kind and happy memories bring you smiles. Don and i were privileged to have known your Mom and the Niezgoda- Heffernan clan.

Aunt Yo....you were a second mom to me, and I am sure, many others. No one ever left your kitchen hungry. You taught me how to make nut roll and how to sew. You made my First Communion dress, multiple prom dresses and my wedding gown. You were there for every important milestone in my life. You were sweet, kind, intelligent, talented and loving and I love you with all my heart and I will cherish the memories. I know you are playing pinochle in heaven with the gang. Wandy and Lynn...you were the best daughters EVER and I love you.
Aunt Yo was one of the kindest, friendliest and loving persons this world has known. I was lucky to call her my godmother. She always treated her nieces and nephews like princes and princesses. She was so talented, and she shared her talents through her beautiful creations. Wanda, Lynn, Ian and Lauren were the lights of her life. Rest In Peace, Aunt Yo.
