How does one sum up a lifetime of friendship in a few sentences. Vince (Dukie) and I have been friends since Junior HS. We used to hang with other friends and compete in various recreational sports, ping pong, basketball, cards, and we could NEVER beat him. In college up at Fairfield it was always a great time when I visited him and the rest of the dogs in the dog house. An avid Ranger fan we would always try to make a game and usually the night would be quite eventful. I remember a night when we were coming home from a game, slightly inebriated, and we lost the Turnpike ticket you used to have to get as you went through the toll plaza. Not to worry Vince would say, we pulled over to the shoulder and he ran back to the toll plaza and hid behind the building until the next car came through, jumped out, grabbed their ticket and ran back to the car. You could never be out somewhere without Vince striking up a conversation with whoever was lucky enough to sit near us. Such a wonderful father and husband he always spoke with pride of his kids accomplishments and his love for Nora. As I get older dear friends continue to pass on but few will be missed as much as my buddy Dukie. RIP buddy
