Abigail Amealia Core's Obituary
Abigail Amealia Core, of Edgewater Park, NJ, passed away on December 23, 2025. She was 23 years old.
Born on August 17, 2002, in Mandeville, Jamaica, Abigail emigrated to the United States at the age of nine, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and quiet strength. She attended Edgewater Park Middle School and was a graduate of Burlington Township High School.
Abigail was the beloved daughter of Michael M. Kirby and Kerryann Allen Kirby; cherished sister of Andre Kirby, Janelle Kirby, and Lianna Kirby. Her younger sister Lianna, age 11, was the light of Abigail’s life. She devoted herself to her, spending as much time together as possible and always volunteering to babysit whenever needed. Their bond was one of deep love and protection.
Reserved by nature, Abigail was very particular about who she let into her world, but to those she loved, she was deeply loyal and caring. She enjoyed getting dressed up, had a passion for makeup, and loved taking long walks. Her favorite food was Jamaican cuisine, which always brought her comfort and joy.
She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Gates of Praise Church of God, 6345 Wisteria Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ 08109, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ.
