Adele Meiluta's Obituary
Adele Meiluta, of Delran, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10th, 2024. She was born to the late William and Sophie Salvaneschi on August 15th, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA. She was the favorite sister of her brother, Joe and a proud graduate of Hallahan High School.
In 1958, she married the love of her life, John E. Meiluta, Jr. She built a happy home and supported Mully in his carpet business. Adele was the proud mother of Patricia Meiluta (Francis Teesdale), Kathleen Calemmo (Kenneth), Jacqueline Meiluta (Alec Vint), and John E. Meiluta III (Jennifer). Adored grandmother to Megan (Steven), Conor (Kristen), Kenneth (Lisa), Katherine (Liam), John Andrew, Ryan, Matthew, and Tyler. In addition, she experienced the joy of being a great-grandmother to Tristan, Brynn, James, Rowan, Declan, Henry, Gavin, Jude, and Seamus.
Adele was happiest on the beach in Sea Isle City where she was affectionately known as Beach Grammy to countless relatives and friends.
Adele was an active member of St. Casimir’s Parish, serving on PTA, Altar Rosary, Carnival Committee and Casey Club. She enjoyed her work as an Executive Secretary and her many years as Assistant to the Delran Township Administrator(s) and Mayor(s). Her commitment and contributions were greatly valued by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing for Adele Thursday May 16th, 2024, 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Givnish Funeral Home, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson NJ, 08077. Another viewing will take place from 8:45 am until 9:45 am at Givnish Funeral Home with Mass to follow at 10:30 am at Saint Casimir Church, 502 New Jersey Ave Riverside, NJ 08075. A burial will follow at Lakeview mausoleum.
