Albert F. Fikry's Obituary
Albert F. Fikry, 83, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, on September 15, 1941, he was the beloved son of Fouad and Wahiba Fikry.
After graduating from the University of Cairo and beginning his career in Egypt, Albert immigrated to the United States in 1969. Albert met the love of his life, Lydia (née Declaro), at the medical laboratories at Metropolitan Life, and they married the same year and initially settled in Yonkers, New York. Albert and Lydia shared nearly 56 wonderful years together. A determined and hardworking professional, Albert achieved a long and successful career in clinical laboratory services, always striving to provide the best for his family.
Albert and Lydia raised their two sons, Eric Fikry (spouse Rosanna Suriano) and Chris Fikry (spouse Stephanie Mann), in Bergen County, NJ, before relocating to Cinnaminson in 2015. Albert was a devoted "Pop Pop" to his cherished grandchildren: Albert V. Fikry, Eric A. Fikry, Addison J. Fikry, and Samuel J. Fikry. He was a loving brother to Mary Fikry and was predeceased by his brother and sister, Farouk and Marcel Fikry.
Beyond his career and family, Albert was an avid stamp collector, loved playing card games, and took great joy in spending time with his wife and grandchildren, always treasuring the moments he shared with them.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, March 4th at Our Lady of Good Counsel, located on Main Street in Moorestown, NJ, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow.
Albert’s legacy of love, dedication, and hard work will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
