Albert B. Spindler's Obituary
Albert B. Spindler, 93, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the Masonic Village of Burlington. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Catherine Spindler (nee Panchos). Albert leaves behind his daughter Joyce Spindler and grandson George Fox.
Albert was born and raised In Gary, Indiana to Albert C. and Mary Spindler. He attended Lew Wallace High School, received his Bachelor’s in Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University. Albert played varsity football in high school and college. He was stationed in Germany after the conclusion of World War II.
Albert and Catherine met when their two families lived next door to each other in Gary in the mid 50's. They lived in the Chicago area until 1972, when they moved to New Jersey.
Albert was Catherine’s caregiver during her battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was recently the subject of a documentary on the topic of Hospice and Grief, titled “In Sickness and in Health. https://www.rcbc.edu/entertainment-technology.
