Alda E. Borden's Obituary
Alda E. Borden (nee Merry) age 94, passed away peacefully January 9, 2017. She was loving wife to the late Francis J. Borden. Dear mother to Paul Borden, Francis Borden, and the late Claudia Borden. Grandmother to Andrew, Alda, Michael, Francis, and Kayla Borden. Alda was born in Sherman Mills, Maine on February 21, 1922 to Harold and Nina Merry, and sister to Marshall and Gerald Merry. Before relocating to New Jersey, Alda lived at Haywood Heights in Stamford, Connecticut. Prior to retirement she worked at Dunham and Smith in Greenwich, Connecticut. During World War II, Alda served in the US Navy WAVES in Washington DC. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14th at noon at the Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, NJ.
