Amos Donald Ward's Obituary
Amos Donald Ward, 91, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2025. Born on February 2, 1934, in Maple Shade, NJ, he was the son of the late Amos Z. Ward and Bertha Ward (née Shetzline).
Amos was the devoted partner of Virginia Ayodele Cole for over 30 years and a loving father to Donald Ward. He was also a cherished stepfather to Bennett Cole, Ellen Cole, Desmond Cole, Monica Nelson-Iye (Jonathan), and Terry Cole (Dolores). A proud grandfather, he leaves behind Terry, Ellene, Donald, Donaldson, Evan, Nicholas, Ellen, Monica, Janet, and Peggy, as well as many great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
A hardworking independent contractor for many years, Amos was known for his reliability, wit, and sense of humor. He had a knack for fixing anything and was always handy around the house. His warmth and dependability left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 4th at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Blackwood New Jersey.
His legacy of kindness and dedication will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
