Angela Marie Dempsey's Obituary
Angela Marie Dempsey(nee Murray), 90, long time resident of The Bronx, New York, who relocated to Maple Shade, New Jersey when she was 77 years old to live with her youngest daughter and husband Robert and Sheila Zaleski, when her husband of 66 years passed away. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at 5:20 am, on Thursday, November 21, 2019.
Angela was born in Dublin, Ireland, she was one of 7 children, Patricia Murray, William Murray, Sean Murray, Alan Murray, Nancy Murray, Peter Murray, and immigrated to the United States in 1953, she briefly lived in Manhattan,NY before moving to the Bronx, New York with her husband, and raise their family of 6 children.
Angela Dempsey loved her children, and life, she would do everything in her power to make them happy, even if that meant her doing without something, so that her children would have a better life. She was a strong and independent woman, who came to the United State without any family for support, just her and her husband. She worked many different jobs from being a waitress in restaurants, to catering work, and home aide worker, she did what was needed to be done, to help support her family. While still making time to raise and take care of her 6 children, and also make all of their Easter clothes, she DID IT ALL...WITHOUT COMPLAINTS, she loved her children very much.
Angela Dempsey was a woman of many facets, she lived through hard times, and came through it with strength and dignity, and NEVER lost her ability to find the good in others and the world. She had a wonderful laugh, that made you want to keep her laughing. She loved to travel, and meet new people. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and when she smiled, her whole face lit up, and when that smile was directed at you, it made you feel like you were the most important person in the world, and when she hugged you, you felt safe, warm and loved. There are not enough words to describe just how important our beloved mother was to us.
You're always in our thoughts no matter where we go, Always in our hearts, because WE LOVED YOU SO!!!!
Her family and friends loved her so much, and will always miss her, and every new day that arises, they will think of her, and miss her, and love her, and remember all the good times they shared together. This is a poem, they want to remember her:
YOUR MOTHER
SHE’S THE WHISPER OF THE LEAVES AS YOU WALK DOWN THE STREET, SHE’S THE SMELL OF CERTAIN FOODS YOU REMEMBER, FLOWERS YOU PICK, THE FRAGRANCE OF LIFE ITSELF. SHE’S THE COOL HAND ON YOUR BROW WHEN YOU’RE NOT FEELING WELL, SHE’S YOUR BREATH IN THE AIR ON A COLD WINTER’S DAY. SHE IS THE SOUND OF THE RAIN THAT LULLS YOU TO SLEEP, THE COLORS OF A RAINBOW, SHE IS CHRISTMAS MORNING. YOUR MOTHER LIVES INSIDE YOUR LAUGHTER. SHE IS THE PLACE YOU CAME FROM, YOUR FIRST HOME, AND SHE’S THE MAP YOU FOLLOW WITH EVERY STEP YOU TAKE. SHE’S YOUR FIRST LOVE, YOUR FIRST FRIEND, EVEN YOUR FIRST ENEMY, BUT NOTHING ON EARTH CAN SEPARATE YOU, NOT TIME, NOT SPACE….NOT EVEN DEATH….
