Ann Clelland's Obituary
Ann Clelland (nee Inglis), formerly of Burlington, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022, she was 86 years old.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland the NEVER GIVE IN* attitude of the British doing World War II formed her early childhood. She left home at age of 16 to start her career in healthcare/nursing that she pursued until the birth of her children. On the loss of her mother at thirty-one she immigrated with her husband to the States joining extended family. Ann made that transatlantic journey alone with four small children and the family was complete a few years later with the birth of the youngest child.
Ann was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Clelland, who passed in 2015; loving mother of Sandra Pray (Gary), Robert (Judy), David (Donna), Pamela Taylor (Gary), and Alistair (Michele); cherished grandmother of Heather Meddings, Erica Ribelin (Kurt), Sheena Van Camp, Alec Markowski (Kurt), Cole Taylor, Annamarie Pray, Adam Taylor, Rylee Clelland, and Danielle Clelland; great grandmother of Kaylee, Kyler, Kayden, Lexi, Brody and Tyler; dear sister of the late David Inglis.
Ann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She has worn many hats and been known by many names; daughter, sister, nurse, midwife, wife, friend, companion, Inky, mum/mom, favorite aunt, Ticketron lady, mom mom. While she cared for dad during his illness in later years, he affectionately called her The Sergeant.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Friday evening, October 7th, from 3 pm to 5 pm. A service will begin at 5 pm. Interment will be private.
