Ann Croge's Obituary
Ann Croge (nee Gavin) passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 28, 2022 at her residence in Delran. Born in Philadelphia to Joseph and Mary Gavin, predeceased by brother Joseph Gavin, Ann was 80 years old.
Ann was a resident of Delran for 58 years. She was currently employed as the media center's assistant for Delran High School and worked for the school district since 1975.
Ann was also known as Annie by her friends, she loved the color yellow and was known to have " a splash " or two... She felt rules were suggestions! Ann loved to hike with her friends, travel to New York and Sea Isle with her family or stay home with her cat Stripes. Ann was a cat lover her whole life and according to her "Stripes doesn't live with me, I live with him!" She was always ready to celebrate bringing her party props: reindeer antlers, pool noodles, mardi gras masks or sunglasses and these times brought her much laughter, and of course it was all documented on her refrigerator. Ann embraced life!
Her years in the school district meant a lot to her, she has seen students graduate, become parents and grandparents. She remembered people by their smile and you could always count on a smile from her. Ann viewed the challenges in her life as speed bumps, and kept moving forward. We will take her appreciation for the simple things as we face our speed bumps. She will be missed.
Beloved wife of the late Frank C. Croge who passed in 1989. Loving mother of Patti (Joe) Grilli and Frank "Chuck"(Kelly) Croge. Cherished grandmother of Maria, Joey, Lexie and Michael. Sister to Jim (Kathy) Gavin and Terry Berkey. Sister-in-law of Dolores Gavin.
A gathering of family and friends will be held this Saturday from 10:30 a.m to 12:15 p.m at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Ann's Funeral Service will follow at 12:15 p.m.
