Anna M Boheim's Obituary
Anna Boheim, 80, of Palmyra, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2020. Loving wife to the late Frederick Boheim Sr. for almost 60 years. Dear mother to Frederick Boheim Jr. (Kelly), Cynthia Deutsch and Cecelia Boheim. Loving grandmother to Anna (Brandon), Sabrina, Olivia, Isabella, Nathan and Ava. Great grandmother to Scarlett and Peyton.
Anna loved her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to attend dance recitals, plays, sport events, or any other thing each of them participated in. She never missed an opportunity to tell any willing ear just how perfect, how beautiful, how brilliant her grandchildren are. She proudly paraded her great granddaughter around her assisted living, making sure to tell everyone just how smart “her baby” is. She was also quick to correct her fellow residents who tried to mistakenly claim “her baby“ as their own.
Anna was an avid gardener who especially loved roses. She had a green thumb, knowing exactly what to cut, where to cut and when to cut to make the most damaged flowers flourish. She took great pride in having the nicest garden and loved when neighbors and strangers alike stopped to admire her roses, and offer her advice on how to fix their garden challenges too.
Anna loved to read, especially love stories and homeopathic health guides, the latter not always appreciated by her young children as they had to endure the latest and greatest remedy she read about. They will never forget the days of their dinners being sprinkled with wheat germ.
Anna loved dogs too. Whether sought after bought from a breeder, or a stray she rescued along the way, they were loved. Especially her chihuahua Waldo, who followed her around like a shadow and she affectionately referred to as “little boy”.
Anna’s door and dinner table was open to all. She never met a stranger. She was passionate about sponsoring thanksgiving meals at homeless shelter each year “because everyone should be able to have a nice meal on Thanksgiving”. She took pride in being able to budget and sponsor more meals than she had the year prior.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N, from 9 to 10:30. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church of Riverton at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Alz.org or the American Lung Association, Lung.org.
