Annamarie V. May's Obituary
Annamarie Victoria May (nee Bowen), of Palmyra, NJ, passed away in her home on October 10, 2023. Devoted wife to the late James D. May for 58 years. Born on April 3, 1940 in Camden, NJ, to the late Henry and Monica Bowen. Dear mother to James D. May III (Brenda) and Victoria Basgil (Tom). Grandmother to Thomas Michael, Rachel Victoria, Winifred Daria, Spencer Augustus and Lionel Elliot. Great grandmother to Aubrey May, and Olivia June. Sister to the late Henry Bowen.
Annamarie was an active member of The Porch Club of Riverton and the Triboro Women’s Club for over 35 years. She served on the Altar Guild at Christ Episcopal Church for many years. Annamarie was an avid gardener and enjoyed her professional career as a florist for over 30 years.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, October 14th at Christ Episcopal Church, 305 Main Street, Riverton, NJ from 10:00am to 11:00am with her memorial service beginning at 11:00am. Inurnment will follow immediately after in the church’s memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annamarie’s name may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, www.ChristRiverton.org. At the family’s request, please no perfume or scented lotions
