Anne Preston Garstka's Obituary
Anne Preston Garstka, 95, of Edgewater Park Township, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in 1925 in Philadelphia, P.A., and schooled at the Jules E. Mastbaum Area Vocational High School in Philadelphia, Anne resided most of her life in Edgewater Park Township, N.J. She was a top commissioned salesperson at the Annie Sez Department Store, located in Burlington, N.J. Prior to that, Anne worked at the Clover Department Store, located in Cinnaminson, N.J. Her various talents included singing, designing fashion clothes, and creating pillow dolls and life-sized stuffed animals. Anne enjoyed traveling to Hawaii with her late husband Cryptologic Naval Officer Henry F. Garstka for annual Pearl Harbor ceremonies, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Anne is survived by her three children Henry Garstka Jr, Carolanne and Robert Cook, and Susan and Ronald Cochran; brother John Preston; three grandchildren, Diana and Derek Wolf, Nathanael Cochran, Jonathan and Layne Cochran, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral and interment services will be privately held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Military Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Givnish Funeral Home, Cinnaminson, N.J.
