Anne Novitzky's Obituary
Anne V. Novitzky (nee Ajogin), 92, formerly of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully April 13, 2014 at Care One Harmony Village in Moorestown.
She was born on June 22, 1921 in Constantinople, Turkey after her parents emigrated from Russia during the Russian Revolution. In 1923, the family arrived in USA and settled in NJ.
Anne (“Mrs. Novitzky”) graduated from Freehold High School in 1940 and received her Bachelor’s degree from Trenton State College in 1943. She taught at Jamesburg School District in NJ until her marriage to Paul G. Novitzky in 1946. They settled in Cinnaminson and raised two sons, George (Nancy) of Haddon Twp/Westmont, and William of Cary, NC.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents Basil and Olga Ajogin, her husband Paul, and daughter-in-law Roseanne. Survived by her sons George and Bill, sisters Natalie Kaempffer of VA and Olga Illyn of GA. She was the grandmother of Dan, Mike and Katherine Novitzky, and she had numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was a substitute teacher at the Cinnaminson Elementary School for many years. She volunteered and was a team leader for the Burlington County Red Cross Blood Drives. She was an active member of the Orthodox Church of Holy Cross (11 Wilkins Station Rd., Medford, NJ 08055) where her visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 – 8 pm and Tuesday morning from 9 – 10 am. Her prayer service will begin at 10 am Tuesday under the Rev. Fr. John Shimchick. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, 1400 Clifton Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
