Anne Marie Rocco's Obituary
Anne Marie Rocco (nee Kearney) of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024. Born in Jenkins Township, PA, she was 79 years old.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Harry Anthony Rocco; her parents, Paul J. Kearney and Jean (nee Shaughnessy) Kearney, her stepmother, Mary (nee Hopkins) Kearney, and her siblings Paul and William Kearney.
Anne was the beloved mother of Christopher Rocco (Stephanie) and Elizabeth Rocco; cherished “Nan” of Ava and Audrey; and dear sister of Gene Kearney (Debbie). She is also survived by her brother, Robert Kearney, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her greatly.
Raised in Milmont Park, PA, Anne attended Our Lady of Peace Grade School and Notre Dame Catholic Girls High School before earning her degree in Elementary Education from West Chester State College in 1967. Her passion for teaching led her to dedicate most of her career to St. Charles Borromeo Elementary School in Cinnaminson, NJ, where she taught second grade for 25 years and was beloved for her nurturing spirit and dedication to her students.
Anne’s happiest moments were spent with family and friends in Ocean City, NJ, a place she treasured since her childhood vacations. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of reading and writing poetry, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and her work as an educator. Her gentle spirit, boundless compassion, and steadfast devotion to those she loved will forever be in the hearts of all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Saturday, December 28th from 8:30 – 10:30 am. Her funeral Mass will be held at 11 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, followed by interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
