Anthony "Tony" Inzinna

Anthony “Tony” Inzinna, 62, passed away at his home on February 21st, surrounded by the love of his family. Tony’s life was marked by his unwavering kindness, love, and warm spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Born in Jersey City to Carolyn and Benjamin Inzinna, he was a dedicated student at St. Joseph High School. After graduating, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a Unit Supply Specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment. He attained the rank of Specialist (E-4) and faithfully served from 1981 to 1984. During his service, he was stationed in Oakland, California, and with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii, in addition to his time in South Korea. He served his country with honor and dedication. Following his honorable discharge, he continued his career in public service with the New Jersey Department of Corrections, where he built a respected and meaningful career for 25 years before retiring in 2013. In 1984, he met the love of his life, Valure “Jenny” Brown. Together they built a life centered on love, partnership and devotion, and they were blessed with two children, Anthony J Inzinna II, and Nicole, who were the pride and joy of his life. He found his greatest happiness in time spent with family- camping trips, summers surrounded by friends and loved ones, and any moments he was able to share with his granddaughters. He adored being their grandfather and treasured every laugh, hug and memory made together. A devoted fan of the New York Giants, he rarely missed a game and proudly cheered on his team each season. He also had a special gift for bringing joy to others, particularly when he got to play Santa Clause for pediatric patients. Anthony was predeceased by his parents Carolyn and Benjamin, Brother Michael, maternal grandparents Julia and Richard, Paternal Grandparents Dominick and Josephine, and father in law Hank Brown. Anthony is survived by his wife of 38 years, Valure; Son Anthony (Alexandra) and Daughter Nicole. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Clementine, Mila and Emory, and a precious grandchild on the way, whom he was eagerly awaiting. Also surviving are his brothers Mark (Chanda), Benjamin (Angela), John (Tammy) Sister Justine, brother-in-law Richard Brown, mother-in-law Mary B., several aunts, cousins, and nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Tony. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Sunday March 8th from 12 pm to 3 pm. A service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will be private.
