Anthony Carmen Tallarico's Obituary
Anthony Carmen Tallarico, age 61, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, after a brief battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
A devout public servant, Anthony was a Staff Representative for the Communication Workers of America Union (CWA) where he diligently fought for the rights of public workers across the state of New Jersey. Anthony moved to New Jersey from Newburgh, New York, his birthplace. One of Anthony’s greatest joys was spending time with his family and many friends and shopping for a good bargain. Anthony knew no stranger and was a light to so many, he always made others feel like family no matter what the situation. He lit up every room he walked into.
He was predeceased by his father, Carmen John “Duke” Tallarico. Survivors include his loving husband of 11 years, Bart Rosenstein; his mother, Jean Tallarico of Lady Lake, Florida; a brother, Joseph (Jennifer) Tallarico of Summerfield, Florida; a sister, Kathleen (Gary) Petrillo of Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister in law Sheryl (Chuck) Staehly of Abington, Pennsylvania; 5 nieces and nephews- Anthony (Samantha), Andrew (Nia), Joseph (Jordyn), Alexandria (Oscar), and Hunter (Joclyn); 3 great nieces and nephews- Carmen, Madeline, and Jacob; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 22nd, from 7:00-9:00pm at Givnish Funeral Home in Marlton, NJ, 398 East Main Street. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Cinnaminson, NJ, 2500 Branch Pike, on Thursday May 23rd, at 10:30am. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Anthony’s memory to: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
