Anthony Tranchitella's Obituary
Anthony M. Tranchitella passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, Anthony was 92 years old. He was a resident of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Mr. Tranchitella was a decorated veteran of WWII. He served in the Pacific Theatre as a combat pilot with 66 missions. He was promoted to Captain as squadron operations officer while preparing for the invasion of Japan. Fortunately the war ended before the invasion could take place. He returned to the US, enrolled at Temple University and graduated with a degree in business. While working as an accountant for construction companies, he pioneered the use of used freight trailers for storage. In 1957, he along with his wife Ann, started Mobile Field Office Company in Berlin, NJ. In 1973 he sold the business to a bank leasing affiliate. By that time his fleet had grown to more than 1800 trailers in five locations. The business grew to a diversified business, which included Office Trailers, Over the Road Trailers, and a large repair and modification shop. He was a former director of the ATCO National Bank and a subsidiary of Industrial Valley Bank & Trust. Mr. Tranchitella?s wife preceded him in death in 2003. He is survived by two daughter, Felicia (Stephen) Neczypor and Michele (Thomas) Kearns. Four grandchildren Christopher and Anne Neczypor and Devin and Megan Kearns. Great grandfather of Harper and Samantha. Brother of Antoinette Baisden. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anthony's Life Celebration and viewing Friday 9-10 a.m. at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. His Funeral Service will follow at 10 a.m. Entombment, with Military Honors, will follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Moorestown VNA 300 Harper drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057 and/or Lutheran Home-Grace Assisted Living 255 E.
