Barbara Ann Capate's Obituary
Barbara Ann Capate, 78, longtime resident of Maple Shade NJ passed away on Friday May 24, 2019.
Barbara loved her summers on Long Beach Island where she and Jim finally retired, she provided many wonderful memories for her family and friends. They left the island for Mullica Hill where they resided for many years until the passing of her husband.
She enjoyed traveling to Lancaster to shop for furniture and antiques, mom had a great eye for country decor and a real flare for decorating. She made her house always feel like a home and anyone who stopped by more than welcome.
Christmas was her favorite holiday, again the house would be decorated in holiday style being prepared for her Christmas day get together. Her Christmas gatherings were her one big yearly joy.
Mom had a special affection and love for all of her dogs, they were family to her. Barb was an independent, strong and generous woman, she will be sadly missed.
Barbara A. Capate was the devoted wife of James G. Capate, Sr. for 40 years until his death in 2012. Barbara was a dedicated, wonderful and loving mother to her 4 children.
Robert D. McCracken (Terri), Scott R. McCracken (Linda), Tracy Fasulo (Angelo), and James G. Capate, Jr. (Michelle). She was the proud grandmother of Scotty McCracken.
A gathering of family and friends for Barbara Ann Capate will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ 08052 from 10am-11am on Monday June 3, 2019. Following the visitation a memorial mass will be held starting at 11am. An inurnment for Barbara Capate will take place at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery at 1:30pm.
