Barbara Gail Townsend's Obituary
Barbara Gail Townsend (VasDias), affectionately known as “Bobbi” to those who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on July 7, 2022. Born in Selma, AL to the late Carl and Ellen (Sparks) VasDias, she was 76 years young.
Bobbi was the beloved mother of Traci Buonanno (Joseph Jr.), cherished grandmother of Sofia Lyn, Joseph Santino “Sonny”, and Alexis "Lexi" Ellen; dear sister of Douglas VasDias (the late Theresa), Terri Dauria, Russell VasDias, sister-in-law of Linda VasDias, and Brian VasDias (Kathleen); loving Bobbi is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, extended family members, caregivers and friends who will miss her tremendously.
Bobbi was the original owner of Moorestown Flower Shoppe; she was one of a kind, and leaves behind her legacy of optimism, peace, and love.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Wednesday evening July 13th from 6 pm to 8 pm, and Thursday morning July 14th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 4th St. and Linden Ave. in Riverton, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobbi’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
