Barbara A. Vitale (nee Schafer) passed away suddenly on December 19, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, Barb was 73 years old. Barb was a resident of Berlin and formerly of Maple Shade. She was employed as a county clerk for Camden County for 25 years and Atlantic County for the last 5 years. Beloved wife of 50 years to Salvatore F. Vitale. Loving mother of Salvatore F. (Angela), Robert F. (Carla), Victoria (Steven) Rizzo and Nicole (Joseph) Cleary. Cherished Mom-mom to Santino, Nicolas, Nina, Salvatore, Angelina, Joseph, Brenden and Noelle. Sister of Robert Schafer, Margaret (Frank) Rowland, James Schafer, John (Joan) Schafer, Sandy (John) Spinelli, Ann Marie Schafer, William (Denise) Schafer, Jerry (Cheryl) Schafer, Ellen (Kelly) Brown, Kevin Schafer, Brian (Michelle) Schafer and Carolyn (Bill) Sabol.
Barb enjoyed baking, traveling, her sorority sisters and especially her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barb's viewing and life celebration Friday 10 a.m. To 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Main St. and Fellowship Rd. Maple Shade. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 236 East Main St. Maple Shade, NJ 08052.
