Bernadette Zarrilli's Obituary
Bernadette Zarrilli, 76, of Marlton passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2024 surrounded by loving family members. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was strong, courageous, and an inspiration to everyone. She was known for her intelligence and strong work ethic, often boasting how she never missed a day of school or work during her career as a banking professional.
She is predeceased by her husband Victor Zarrilli, her parents Hugh and Estelle McCarry and her brother Frank McCarry.
Bernadette is survived by her loving children Dena (Matt) Sweeney and Victor (Maria) Zarrilli, her grandchildren Gabriella Sweeney, Sofia Sweeney, Luke Zarrilli, Matteo Zarrilli and Noah Santiago, her sister Sally (Joseph) Bonmer, her brothers Charles (Faye) and Joseph (Patricia) McCarry, sister-in-law Nancy Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Over the years, Bernadette had many loving and wonderful caregivers especially Tierra Worthington who has been with her for over 12 years and will always be considered family.
Bernadette lived with MS for over 40 years, but it never defined her. As much as Bernadette was helped by others, she gave much more to those in return. She was a patient listener, confidant, best friend to many, and a giver of sage advice. Bern loved deeply and generously. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. She loved Judge Judy, a morning tea, chocolate treats, the beach (but not the ocean as she never learned to swim), reality tv, morning talk shows, dinner at 5:00, her evening tv show, shopping, vodka tonic with two limes, Diet Cherry Pepsi, and Candy Crush to name a few.
Bernadette saw the best in everyone. She was loving and generous. The world lost a wonderful person. While our lives are a lot less without her, the memory of her love, strength and courage will endure.
Family and friends are invited to Bernadette’s Life Celebration, Sunday starting 9:00am at Givnish Funeral Home, 398 E. Main St. Marlton NJ. Sharing with family and friends will start at 11:30am. Interment will be private.
