Bette Ann Hillpot's Obituary
Bette Ann Hillpot (born Elizabeth Ann Pancoast) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2025, at the age of 96. Bette was born in Hopewell, NJ to Maurice and Lillie Pancoast and spent her childhood in Hopewell, NJ. She graduated from Princeton High School and resided in New Jersey her entire life. For over 50 years she called West Windsor, NJ home and most recently resided in Cinnaminson, NJ.
Beloved wife of the late Oliver Oscar Hillpot, Bette was a devoted and loving mother of Robin Lyn Schwing and Todd (Lynda Anne) Hillpot. She was the cherished grandmother of Thomas Oliver Schwing, Michelle (Michael) Haberle, and Elizabeth Schwing. Bette was a proud great-grandmother of Thomas Gary Schwing, Luka Michael Haberle and Oliver Wilde Schwing.
She was predeceased by her brother, Tom Pancoast and sister, Dorothy Gregory.
Bette dedicated many years of service as a deputy assistant tax collector for Princeton Borough before her retirement. After retirement she and her late husband were owners and operators of B & O Catering business.
She was active in the West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Axillary, First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, Crescent Shrine Eastern Star, and Princeton Masonic Lodge #38 Eastern Star where she (& Oliver) was acknowledged with numerous awards for their unselfish service to others. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and getting together with family / friends.
Bette (& Oliver) traveled to many places inside & outside the United States. During their travels they enjoyed meeting new people, trying new food, enjoying the scenery / attractions, and spending quality time with their many friends.
In accordance with her wishes, Bette Ann will be laid to rest privately alongside her beloved husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Park, Wrightstown, NJ.
