Betty Lejeune Cunningham Horsley
February 2, 1945 - August 23, 2024
Betty Horsley took leave of her earthly possessions and entered heaven's doors on Friday, August 23, 2024. She was born on February 2nd, 1945 to the late Bethel and Rebecca Cunningham in Hemingway, South Carolina. Betty was a proud graduate of Choppee High School in Georgetown, South Carolina. She continued on to receive her registered nursing degree from Philadelphia Community College. Betty worked as a registered nurse for over 35 years in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Betty enjoyed gardening and reading. She also greatly loved animals.
Betty was proceeded in death by her father Bethel Cunningham and her mother Rebecca Cunningham Ford, stepfather Oscar Ford, her twin sister Victoria Cunningham Davis, brother Bethel Cunningham, and her son Darryl Cunningham. She is survived by sisters, Frances (Michael) Bickal, Vernell Dawkins, Mae Ola Cunningham, Susanne Smith, Gretta Cunningham, and Sherrill Lawrence, and brother Christopher Cunningham. Betty is survived by her three sons, Terrence Horsley, Kenneth Horsley, Craig (Kimberly) Horsley, her seven lovely grandchildren whom she adored Sade (Michael) Merkle, Kenneth Malcolm Ray Horsley, Kareem Horsley, Craig Horsley Jr., Cameron Horsley, Croix Horsley, and Victoria. Betty also leaves behind two great-granddaughters, Kai and Kirah Horsley. In addition, she will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews and a host of other family and beloved friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Wednesday, September 4th from 10 am to 12 pm. A service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will be private.
