Brooks M. Henderson Jr.'s Obituary
Brooks M. Henderson, Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at his residence in Maple Shade with his wife and son, Brooks III by his side. Born in Camden, NJ to Brooks M. and Angeline Henderson, Brooks was 76 years old. He was a resident of Maple Shade since 2014.
Beloved husband for the last 8 years to Margaret “Marge” Henderson. Loving father of Brooks M. Henderson III, Jennifer Henderson and Patrick Henderson. Cherished grandfather of Jillian Payton Henderson, Brooks M. Henderson IV, Olivia Acevedo Henderson and William Henderson. Brother of Mary Ann Schwerdtmann, the late Dorothy Willig, the late John E. Henderson and the late Betty Lou Matlack.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Brooks proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Disabled American Veteran and a member of the Glendora VFW Post 8714.
Brooks was a retired insurance agent with the Prudential Insurance Company in Laurel Springs, NJ. He was an avid fisherman, Brooks enjoyed hunting, boating, gardening and football. Most of all Brooks cherished spending time with his family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 21st from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main Street.
Brooks’ Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m.
Burial, with Military Honors will take place 1p.m. at Brigadier General William Doyle/NJ Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
