Carol A. Peterson's Obituary
Carol Peterson was called home to eternal life with the Lord on February 1, 2026. She passed
away peacefully, surrounded by family.
She was born on November 29, 1941 in Chicago, IL to parents Angelo and Catherine Dorsano.
She was the youngest of eight siblings, who all preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters Terese (Ed) Campbell, Angela (Jim) Francis, and Christy
(Brian) Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by her grandchildren Drew Harris, Samantha
Gawronik, Jamie Campbell, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Jeffrey Fitzpatrick, Charles Francis, Chris
Francis, Scott Fitzpatrick, and Jillian Fitzpatrick, and her great grandchildren Tiegan, Ashton,
Hayden and Brooks. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Diane Galligan, brother-in-laws
Lloyd (Pete) Peterson and Clifford Peterson as well as many nieces and nephews who she
loved, including Linda O'Neill, who took care of her in her final years until her death.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Peterson, Son-in-law Clay Harris,
and granddaughter Morgan Harris.
While she enjoyed a secretarial career that spanned off and on from the 1950’s through the
1990’s, her true passion was her immediate and extended families. She loved her family
immensely. She was everyone’s cheerleader, being present for the big celebrations, as well as
the day to day activities, while lovingly supporting us through the more difficult parts of life. She
was the heart of our family, a warm, empathetic person and a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt
and Friend. She left an indelible mark on all those that loved her or knew her. She lived her
life in a way that has served as a great example of a life and service to others. She will be
deeply missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday evening at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200
Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ from 6 to 8 pm, and on Tuesday morning at Church of the
Holy Name, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ from 9 to 10 am. Her mass of Christian Burial will
begin at 10:00 am at Church of the Holy Name, and will be broadcasted and recorded starting at
