Carole A. Grove's Obituary
Carole A Grove, age 83, of Ship Bottom passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
Carole was born in Newark, New Jersey on November 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Edward N. and Ida C. (McGovern) Brock. She was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Belmar, Class of 1958. Carole worked as an office manager/medical receptionist for over 25 years. She raised her children in Cherry Hill, NJ then retired in Long Beach Island with her late husband Walter.
Carole was a passionate Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. She loved to read, sew and quilt and was a talented cook. She was featured as cook of the week in the Courier Post. You would always find Carole on the dance floor at family celebrations. She loved living life at the shore including shopping excursions, trips to the beach and boating. Carole immensely enjoyed spending time with her family. She proudly displayed photos of her children and grandchildren throughout her home. She always found a special place for the small mementos from family occasions.
Carole is survived by her daughters Karen (Kevin) Pol, and Michelle (Troy) Boesch. Cherished grandmother to Michael (Meghan) Smith, Maggie (Matthew) Becker, Kimberly (Tyler) McCoy, Lizzy Hubing, Katie Smith, Kevin Foley, and Caroline Foley. Great-grandmother to Frankie Joy Becker and Jovie Elaine McCoy.
In addition to her parents Carole was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter H. Grove, son Christopher M. (Maureen) Smith DMD, son Troy M. Smith, and brother Edward T. Brock.
A gathering of family and friends will be held , December 16th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish of Marlton 398 East Main . Carole’s Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m.
The family would appreciate memorial contributions in Carole’s name to be made to St. Francis of Assisi Parish 4700 Long Beach Boulevard Long Beach, NJ 08008.
