I met Kay when we both were on the Executive Board of the National Quilting Association in the 80s. She was such a vibrant woman, full of life and fun and ready and able to get done what needed to be done. Always giving, always fun to be with. I woke up today with her name in my mind and I Googled her only to find this obituary. I will always miss my judging friend.
I will always remember Kay as one of the strongest and steadfast in laws who you could count on. We raised our children at the same time, Andrew & Vicki for Kay, & Robbie & Sharon for me, many happy memories. I still always cherish the Christmas holidays and visits to Andy's & Kay's house on Hartford Drive when she would play the organ & fill the house with Christmas songs and cheer. Summers were spent at Pomona Club, and many happy memories will always remain.
Rest in peace, Kay, your family surely has welcomed you with open arms. Home at last.
We will miss you down here but shall soon see you all.
It has been a pleasure to know Kay since 1999 as a fellow member of The Mooretown Area Quilters. She was a wonderful friend and teacher - smart, funny and courageous in the face of many challenges life presented her. I will remember the quilt project for the St. Vincent Home for Children, the privilege of helping celebrate her 75th birthday at Amy's house and many fall weekend getaways at Johnsonburg where we quilted into the wee hours of the morning and laughed ourselves silly. She touched many hearts and we will miss her dearly.

Very long time friend and traveling companion to various quilt shows and teaching commitments for over night stays. Loved to laugh at just about anything, usually the
goofs we made. Loved driving around Christmas eve looking at lights. Enjoyed being
to Paducah for a 6 year period and just loved being together. She knew more about
me and ditto for knowing more about her. We shared happy times and sad times.
Never had to call to drop in, just arrive and be welcomed. Will miss her very, very
much. We were friends since 1978.
