Catherine Spindler's Obituary
Catherine Panchos Spindler, 89, died on Monday, January 22, at the Masonic Village of Burlington. She leaves her husband of 62 years, Albert Spindler, her daughter Joyce Spindler and grandson George Fox.
Catherine was born and raised In Gary, Indiana to George and Iphigenia Panchos. She graduated from Lew Wallace High School, after which she was employed at Marshall Fields in Chicago. She met her husband when their two families lived next door to each other in Gary in the mid 50's. Catherine and Albert lived in the Chicago area until 1972, when they moved to New Jersey.
Catherine taught Sunday School at St. Demetrius Greek Orthodox Church in Hammond, Indiana. She was a talented seamstress, gardener and homemaker. Catherine had a special love of nature, travel and her grandson George.
Friends and relatives are invited to Catherine’s life celebration services on Friday, January 26th from 1:30-2:30pm at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. Her funeral service will begin at 2:30pm. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park of Cinnaminson. Catherine battled Alzheimer's disease for many years.
