Charles Donald Colalillo's Obituary
Charles Donald "Don" Colalillo, 77, of Manahawkin, New Jersey, passed away on June 15, 2026.
Born and raised in Lenola, New Jersey, Don proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police officer. Following his military service, Don spent his entire career owning and operating his own carpet installation and carpet cleaning business, through which he became known and respected by countless friends, neighbors, and customers. He spent most of his life in Manahawkin, New Jersey.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Peters-Colalillo; his father-in-law, Joseph Peters; his daughter, Jennifer Caveng (née Colalillo), and son-in-law, Rocco Caveng; his cherished grandchildren, Nina Caveng, Jillian Caveng, and Rocco Caveng III; his sister, JoAnne Bradley; his brother, Cordell "Sonny" Massi; his sister, Ardena Duschele; and many extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation Thursday, July 2, from 10 am – 12 pm at Givnish Funeral Home in Maple Shade, New Jersey. A life celebration service will begin at 12:15 pm. Interment with military honors will take place at 2:30 pm, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Don's memory.
Don will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his years of hard work, his service to his country, and the friendships he cultivated throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
