Charles E. Hosier's Obituary
Charles Edward Hosier, 81, formerly of Lenola, NJ passed away on Saturday, June 12th, 2021 in Fayetteville, GA where he lived for many years with his companion, Nancy Curry.
Charles was born on August 17th, 1939 in Burlington, NJ to Harold and Helen (Jarzyk) Hosier, Charles grew up alongside his siblings Harold, Norman, Helen, Judy, Faye, Patti, Lorraine and Donna. Charles served our country first for the Army Reserve and then later for the US Navy, working aboard the USS Enterprise CVN-65.
Charles had worked for C.F.& I. Steel in Roebling, then P.I.W. in Moorestown and later retired from Micro-Tech in Cinnaminson. Charles volunteered his time for many years as a firefighter for Mitchell Fire Department and Lenola Fire Department where he became a member of the Exempt Firemen’s Association. Charles was married to the late Jeannette Marie Hosier (Haines) for 33 years and raised two children, Charles E. Hosier Jr. (Ruth) of Maple Shade and the late Sandra Lee.
Charles enjoyed bowling and playing softball where he became an umpire for many years. Charles also was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and camping with his family and friends. Charles left behind a large family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate the life of Charles E. Hosier with a visitation at the Givnish Funeral Home of Maple Shade on July 10th, from 9am to 11am, with a service beginning in our chapel at 11am. Following will be military honors and burial at Junior Mechanics Cemetery in Tabernacle, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating a local hospice facility of your choosing.
