Charles "Jim" J. MacCrindle Jr's Obituary
Charles James MacCrindle Jr. “Jim”, 78, of Burlington, NJ, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on May 29, 2024. Born on October 9, 1945 to Charles Sr. and Edith MacCrindle. Devoted husband of 42 years to Janet MacCrindle (nee Belkowski). Dear step father to Terri Kubachka (Tom), and Jonathan Sullivan. Father to Kelly Fletcher. Grandfather to 9 and great grandfather to 2. He is survived by his twin sister Bonnie Hannanman (Elton) and predeceased by his sister Nancy Hernandez. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Jim was a proud US Navy Seabee serving his country in the Vietnam War. Later, he was active in the VFW and eventually became the Commander at the VFW of Burlington. After his military service, he worked in the production of heavy equipment for many companies, especially loved working with cranes (THE BIGGER THE BETTER), most recently Haas Construction in Vincentown, NJ. When he wasn’t working, Jim and Janet enjoyed trips to LBI where they would often go surf fishing. They loved watching the oldies music bands together. Other hobbies he enjoyed were working on his 29’ Chevy Roadster and carving birds out of wood. He was the master of treasured junk. Jim’s faith was an important part of his life. He was a member of the New Beginnings Church in Cherry Hill, NJ. Those that knew Jim will remember him as a champion mentor to many.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday June 6th at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North from 9:00-11:00am. His funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Burial and military honors will follow at the Brigadier Wm. C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. www.WoundedWarriorProject.org
