Charles S. Kendra Sr's Obituary
Charles S. Kendra, 76, of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021. Loving husband to Shirley M. Kendra. Dear father to Charles S. Kendra Jr. (Marg), Lynne DeJoseph (Anthony), Glenn Majewski (Peg) and the late Todd Kendra. Grandfather to Anthony (Jennifer), Scott (Alison), Laura, Ryan (Jenn), Justin (Leila), Ashley, Haley (Ryan), Kelsey and Jack. Great grandfather to 14. Brother to John Kendra and the late Janet. Daughter in law Rebecca Burke.
Chuck was a life member with over 52 years to the Delran Fire Department. He served as Chief of the Delran Fire Company #2, member and Past President of the Board of Fire Commissioners, member of the Delran Emergency Squad, and served his country in the NJ Army National Guard from 1967-1978 holding the rank of Sergeant First Class (Platoon Sergeant). He will be remembered by his dedication to his family and friends.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, December 3rd at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and again on Saturday, December 4th at Church of the Holy Name, Resurrection Parish, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ, 08075 with his funeral mass beginning at 11:00am and live streamed on the following link:https://my.gather.app/remember/charles-s-kendra-sr
Burial at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson to follow. Masks are requested for the unvaccinated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Delran Fire Company, Station 232, 1020 South Chester Ave, Delran NJ 08075.
