Cheri Mack's Obituary
Cheryl M. “Cheri” Mack (nee Grover), passed away on Friday, October 25, at her home in Delran, NJ. She was 61.
Born in Riverside, NJ, she attended Riverside High School and graduated in 1969, and then graduated from the IBM Educational Center in 1975. Cheri retired from Tyco Toys in 1985 as a Senior Systems Analyst. She then served on the Board of Trustees at Cooper Valley Village Condominiums in Edgewater Park for 7 years, and served as the President of the Board for 4 years. Cheri lived in Edgewater Park and Burlington, NJ, before moving to her beloved Naples, FL where she lived for 10 years. She moved back to NJ in 2011 where she reunited with many childhood friends. She enjoyed spending time with the “Honey Badgers” and singing Karaoke with them.
Cheri and her husband were avid travelers. They visited many Caribbean islands, went on several cruises, had a timeshare in New Orleans and visited Las Vegas several times. Their most memorable trip was to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. She enjoyed spoiling her cat Andy, gambling, and she loved seeing her favorite entertainer, Barry Manilow.
Cheri was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dorothy Grover, and her brother, Alfred Grover. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Barry Mack; her brother, Robert Grover of Lutz, FL; her dear sister, Jewel Grover DeMore, of Delran; her stepsons Ryan and Darrin Mack; her beloved niece, Allison DeMore of Staten island, NY; sister-in-law Joan Grover; nephews Michael and Mark Grover; nieces Karen Morelli, Michelle Grover and Susan Stone; many cousins and friends; and her very best friend, Salli Gordon of Rancocas Woods.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cheri’s life celebration at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N. on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11 am. Her prayer service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. Contributions in Cheri’s name may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
