Christopher J. Fanelli's Obituary
Please dear friends family members and loved ones.... do not risk driving in this weather. We need everyone to BE SAFE! As we could not bear any more heartache if one of you were to get hurt. We hope that this reaches you in time. The services/ luncheon will still go forward. You mean the world to us and Chris. You are all here with Chris, John and I now...you always have been! ❤️ Be safe, watch his video tribute, say a prayer at 2pm. Perhaps we can have another celebration of his life on a sunnier day with a fishing pole in our hands.**
Christopher J. Fanelli passed away suddenly on Friday, December 29, 2017, at his home in Shamong, NJ. Born in Marlton, Chris was 33 years old.
He was a long time resident of Shamong and currently lived in California. Loving son of John and Nancy Fanelli. Cherished grandson of John and Gloria Fanelli, predeceased by grandparents Joe and Betty Petraitis. Adored nephew of Judith Petraitis, Mary Denning, Richard and Sis Murphy, and fun loving cousin to Sara, Jess, Ryan, Kath and Trish, and kind and generous friend to many.
Chris was a 2003 graduate of Shawnee High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University in 2008. Chris was employed as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Hill International, Inc.
Chris’ greatest joy was in spending time with friends and family. His award winning smile and compassionate heart won over many people from all walks of life, who were quick to adopt him as their new best friend. He loved spending time at the beach, playing in the sand, surfing waves, water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, eating crabs, lobsters and any fish that happened to jump in the boat. He was a stellar athlete in his younger days with the Medford Strikers, where he learned discipline and the love of the game. He enjoyed hanging with his soccer teammates and their parents. An avid fan of all sports, Chris particularly loved following baseball, and his beloved Pittsburgh Penguins despite what the Flyers fans had to say.
A Gathering of relatives and friends will be held Thursday, January 4th, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Givnish of Marlton 398 East Main Street. His Life Celebration Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m.
