Claire E. Swetra's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Claire Swetra on February 28, 2025, at the age of 94. Claire was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and humor touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Swetra, and her dear daughter, Beverly. She is survived by her children: William Swetra (Lisa), Kathleen Giardinelli (Frank), and Greg Swetra (Michelle). Loving sister to Pat Finney,Monica Saxson , and the late Joe Reese and Jackie Eldred .
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren in, all of whom were her greatest joy.
Claire dedicated her life to caring for her family, staying home to raise her four children with love and devotion. She absolutely adored her doting husband, Bill, who was always by her side, ready to wait on her every need. Their love was one of unwavering companionship, and we find comfort in knowing they are together again.
Family was everything to Claire, and she had a special way of making every conversation unforgettable. Whether reminiscing about old times, sharing laughter, or talking about her adventures to the casino, she always had something memorable to say. Sands Casino was her favorite spot, and she was always eager to “take a ride” with Bill to try her luck, never missing a chance to share stories about her winnings.
In her later years, Claire found joy in the simple comforts of home—her cozy recliner, her favorite TV shows, and a hot cup of instant coffee. We know she is now in heaven, reunited with Bill, sipping her coffee and enjoying the peace of eternal rest.
Claire’s love, humor, and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
Rest in peace, Claire. Your love and laughter will never be forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing beginning at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday March 7th,2025, at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson. Located at 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ, 08077. Following the viewing there will be a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Located at 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ, 08077. Burial will take place after mass at Lakeview Memorial Park. Located at 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson.
