Clifford "Cliff" Oakley's Obituary
Clifford Oakley, affectionately known as Cliff to those who knew and loved him, passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Cliff was the son of the late Clifford and Elizabeth Oakley (nee May). He was the beloved husband of Sharon Oakley (nee Conner) for 44 years, and together for 47 wonderful years.
Cliff was a devoted father to Faith Creamer (late Rodger), Lori Turner (George), Clifford Oakley Jr., Michele Haurin (Rich), Steven Oakley (Jen), and Brandy Oakley. He was a proud and loving Pop to Nicholas, Lindsay, Anthony, Chelsea, Sarah, Emma, Ava, Eleanor, Megan, Danny, and the late Tara and Jonathon. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to 10 great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Gloria Kingston, and a loving uncle to Marilynn, Kathy, and Bobby, as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Cliff was known for his great sense of humor, strong work ethic, and generous heart. He took immense pride in raising six wonderful children and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to the moon and back.
A graduate of Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1957, Cliff spent 30 years as a truck driver for Stroehmann Bros. Bakery. Even after retiring, his work ethic called him back—he went on to work 18 more years as a transportation manager for Commerce Bank and TD Bank.
Cliff enjoyed sports and trains, and in his younger years, he loved racing hot rods. He treasured Wildwood vacations and family trips, loved spending time with his family, and especially enjoyed celebrating birthdays and Christmas. A lifelong fan, he proudly cheered on the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cliff will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his dedication to family, his laughter, and the steady, caring presence he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
